M.A. van Egmond (Maarten) MSc
NWO-Promovendus | Docent FysiotherapieMaarten van Egmond is onderzoeker bij het lectoraat Fysiotherapie - Transitie van Zorg bij Complexe Patiënten. Hij onderzoekt in hoeverre de fysieke conditie van patiënten met slokdarmkanker het herstel na de operatie beïnvloedt en of dit herstel met een gerichte fysiotherapeutische behandeling te verbeteren is. Naast zijn onderzoek werkt Maarten als docent bij de European School of Physiotherapy (ESP), een Engelstalig programma van de HvA-opleiding Fysiotherapie.
Maarten studeerde af aan de opleiding Fysiotherapie van de Hogeschool van Amsterdam. Daarna volgde hij de master Evidence Based Practice in Health Care aan de faculteit Geneeskunde van de Universiteit van Amsterdam. Sinds 2014 is hij kandidaat promovendus.
