Miriam is docent/onderzoeker binnen het lectoraat Professioneel redeneren en gezamenlijke besluitvorming in de gezondheidszorg. Haar onderzoek richt zich op leren binnen de context van internationale stagepraktijken als onderdeel van de verschillende paramedische opleidingen. Miriam heeft in 2016 haar Master in Health Professions Education behaald aan de Universiteit Maastricht, waarna ze als PhD student aan de School of Health Professions Education (SHE) bij de Universiteit Maastricht.is begonnen. Ze heeft fysiotherapie gestudeerd aan de Hogeschool Utrecht, met als specialisme neurologische revalidatie, en is werkzaam als stagecöordinator en praktijkdocent bij de European School of Physiotherapy.
