Marten Teitsma
Special Applied Quantum Computing Professor
Dr. Marten Teitsma has been a distinguished lecturer in Applied Quantum Computing at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences since 2020. His research focuses on the applications of quantum technology, particularly in Quantum Computing for Chemistry, Quantum Machine Learning, and Quantum Sensing. He collaborates with companies and organizations to develop practical applications of this technology and plays a key role in the Applied Quantum Technology master's program. Marten began his career as a lecturer in vocational education and has since built a broad academic background, with studies in Technical Informatics, Philosophy, and a Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence. As a member of Quantum Delta Netherlands, he contributes to educational initiatives and has developed various academic programs, including the Applied Quantum Computing minor and bachelor's and master's programs in Quantum Technology. He has a strong passion for responsible implementation of new technologies and translating complex knowledge into accessible education. Marten is committed to integrating quantum technology into society and fostering innovation.
