Burcu Kör is onderzoeker bij het lectoraat Entrepreneurship van de Hogeschool van Amsterdam. Ze studeerde Computer Technology and Management Information Systems aan de Boğaziçi Universiteit in Turkije en promoveerde in Management en Organisatie aan de Universiteit van Istanbul. In haar promotieonderzoek richtte ze zich op de individuele en contextuele factoren die van invloed zijn op innovatief werkgedrag.

Haar onderzoek draagt bij aan het begrijpen en ondersteunen van digitale transformatieprocessen in het midden- en kleinbedrijf. Daarnaast draagt haar onderzoek bij aan het integreren van effectief lesgeven in digitale vaardigheden in het ondernemerschaps- en innovatie-onderwijs.

In haar werk concentreert ze zich op innovatief werkgedrag, ondernemersoriëntatie en zelfleiderschap. Daarnaast is ze betrokken bij projecten die een brug slaan tussen theoretische inzichten met praktische toepassingen in innovatiemanagement.

Kör is tevens hoofddocent aan de Hogeschool van Utrecht en gastonderzoeker aan de Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology, India. Eerder was zij gastonderzoeker aan de Universiteit van Texas in Dallas en de Open Universiteit Nederland.
