Dr. Jesse Aarden promoveerde op 1 juni 2022 bij de afdelingen Revalidatie en Ouderenzorg van het Amsterdam UMC, locatie AMC. Binnen zijn promotie richtte hij zich op op de impact van een acute ziekenhuisopname op het functioneren van ouderen na ontslag. Bekijk zijn proefschrift .

Jesse Aarden is verantwoordelijk voor het Smart Health and Vitality Lab, onderdeel van het Centre of Expertise Applied Artificial Intelligence van de Hogeschool van Amsterdam. Doel van dit lab: het faciliteren van Artificial Intelligience binnen onderwijs en onderzoek en het scholen van (toekomstige) beroepsbeoefenaars op het gebied van technologie en AI.

Verder werkt Jesse Aaden als docent bij de European School of Physiotherapie (ESP), onderdeel van de opleiding Fysiotherapie van de Hogeschool van Amsterdam. ESP is een Engelstalig fysiotherapieprogramma.

Jesse Aarden studeerde Fysiotherapie aan de Hogeschool van Amsterdam en volgde daarna de master of science Gezondheidswetenschappen aan de Universiteit Maastricht.
