OnderzoekerIteke werkt als onderzoeker aan de Faculteit der Bedrijfskunde en Economie, voor twee lectoraten: Enterpreneurship en Collaborative Innovation and Entrepreneurship. Als docent werkt ze aan de Amsterdam School of International Business.
Van Hille houdt zich bezig met multi-sector (publiek, privaat en non-profit) samenwerking voor verduurzaming. Meer specifiek bestudeert ze de rol van network orchestrators - ofwel conveners- in het organiseren van samenwerking voor duurzame transitie. Het grootste deel van haar werk richt zich op duurzame ontwikkeling in de context van mondiale toeleveringsketens, of de circulaire transitie. Terugkerende thema's in haar onderzoek zijn samenwerkingsmodellen, samenwerkende innovatie, sociaal ondernemerschap en duurzame transitie. Ze maakt voornamelijk gebruik van kwalitatieve onderzoeksmethoden.
Van Hille heeft een achtergrond in de sociale wetenschappen, met een BSc in Sociologie aan de Universiteit van Amsterdam, en een Research Master in Social Research (track Organisatiewetenschappen). Na haar afstuderen heeft ze enkele jaren gewerkt voor IDH, the Sustainable Trade Initiative, alvorens haar promotieonderzoek aan de Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam te volgen (afgerond in 2020).
Haar promotieonderzoek richtte zich de rol van conveners als initiatiefnemers van sector-overschrijdende samenwerking (cross-sector partnerships, of 'CSPs') om duurzame ontwikkeling in van internationale handelsketens te versterken.
